Feeding Guide & Storage

Serving Suggestions

Furr Boost can be served in a variety of ways to suit your dog's preference and routine, as a standalone drink, poured over dry, raw or wet food as a topper, spread onto a lick mat for enrichment, or frozen into a pupsicle for a cooling treat.

Suitable For

Furr Boost is suitable for puppies from 8 weeks old and adult dogs of all breeds and sizes. It is low in fat and gentle on the stomach, making it ideal for everyday use.

Feeding Amounts

Furr Boost can be given daily alongside your dog's normal water and food:

  • Under 5kg: 100–200ml
  • 5–10kg: 200–300ml
  • 10–25kg: 300–400ml
  • Over 25kg: 400ml

As a general rule of thumb, aim for around 50ml per kg of body weight. Always make sure fresh water is available alongside Furr Boost, and adjust serving sizes to suit your dog's individual needs.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, refrigerate and consume within 3–5 days. Do not freeze the product in its original carton, transfer to a suitable mould if making pupsicles.

Complementary Feed

This is a complementary pet food for dogs. Always ensure fresh drinking water is available alongside serving.

About the Brand

Furr Boost was founded by Louise, a UK-based Food Technologist, after her beagle Phoebe developed bladder problems linked to her diet. Drawing on her technical expertise, Louise began experimenting with protein shakes to help flush out Phoebe's system and boost her hydration and Furr Boost was born.

Today, Furr Boost is a small, female-led British business on a mission to make functional, natural nutrition accessible to every dog. Described as supercharged smoothies, each recipe is crafted with 100% natural ingredients, combining a meat, fruit and vegetable base with beneficial oils and essential vitamins to support everyday wellbeing.

Committed to sustainability, Furr Boost uses widely recyclable Tetra Pak cartons made from FSC certified paperboard and actively works to reduce its carbon footprint through cleaner manufacturing practices.

FAQs

Is Furr Boost suitable for raw-fed dogs?

Furr Boost is cooked, so it may not be suitable for dogs on a strict raw diet. If your dog eats no cooked food, introduce it gradually to avoid any digestive upset.

Can I give Furr Boost to a dog that is unwell, vomiting or has diarrhoea?

Yes. To help push fluids into a dog that has been vomiting or has diarrhoea, use Furr Boost as per the feeding guidelines and dilute with an additional two thirds of water to replace lost fluids. A helpful rule of thumb is 50ml of fluids per 1kg of your dog's body weight.

Is Furr Boost low in calories? Can it help with weight management?

Furr Boost contains less than 5% fat and is low in protein, making it ideal for weight management. It can be used as a treat or even as a meal replacement for dogs on two daily meals to help reduce overall calorie intake, with just 31 kcal per 100ml.

Is Furr Boost good for dogs?

Yes, due to the addition of fats and oils, along with vitamins and minerals aimed at supporting a dog's skin and coat. The product is 100% natural, with no added artificial preservatives, colourants, antioxidants, grains or added salt.

Can Furr Boost help my dog with anxiety?

Yes. Each carton contains B vitamins and water, both of which have calming properties that support healthy brain development and can help combat anxiety. It can also be frozen onto a lick mat or into enrichment toys to provide a calming, focused activity for anxious dogs.

How long does Furr Boost last once opened, and can it be frozen?

Once opened, Furr Boost will keep for 7 days in the fridge. It is also freezable, pour it into enrichment toys, lick mat moulds or pupsicle trays, and it can be kept frozen for up to 9 months.

Can I give Furr Boost to my dog if they have a sensitive stomach or food allergies?

Furr Boost is suitable for almost all dogs and contains no allergenic raw materials. If your dog has a sensitive tummy, introduce it gradually, start with a quarter of the recommended amount and slowly build up to a full serving over a few days. If your dog is sensitive to animal proteins, the plant-based Furr Boost variety may be a better starting point.
