Cat Litter Scoops

Rinse the scoop under warm water after each use to remove residue, and wash it more thoroughly with mild soap on a regular basis. Allow it to dry fully before storing, as leaving it damp can encourage odour or bacteria build-up over time.

Gently sift the scoop through the litter to lift out clumps and solid waste, allowing clean litter to fall back through the slots. Work in small sections rather than digging too deep and top up with fresh litter as needed to maintain the right level in the tray.

Store your litter scoop somewhere clean and easily accessible near the litter tray, such as hanging on a hook or standing upright in a holder to avoid contact with floors or surfaces. Some scoops come with a stand or caddy, which helps keep things tidy and prevents mess from spreading.

It's best to scoop cat litter at least once a day, and ideally twice if you have multiple cats sharing a tray. Regular scooping helps control odour, keeps the tray hygienic and encourages your cat to continue using it consistently.
