The Gotham Slip-N-Lock takes the fuss out of walking by combining a collar and lead into one adjustable, easy-to-use piece of soft, pliable polyester rope. The first rubber slider lets you fine-tune the fit around your dog's neck, while the second locks that position in place, so the loop doesn't loosen or slip mid-walk, unlike a typical slip lead.

That extra bit of security makes it a favourite for training sessions, dogs who are still getting used to wearing a collar or lead, or trickier walkers who need a bit more consistency. With a rope diameter of around 0.39in and a full length of 4.9ft, it's best suited to medium and large dogs rather than small or toy breeds.

1. Slip the loop over your dog's head so it sits comfortably around the neck, like a collar.

2. Slide the first rubber slider up or down to adjust the fit, snug enough to stay put, loose enough to stay comfortable.

3. Once you're happy with the fit, slide the second rubber slider into place to lock it, preventing the loop from loosening as you walk.

4. Hold the lead as normal and head out, there's no separate collar or clip needed.

5. To remove, unlock the second slider, loosen the first, and lift the loop back over your dog's head.
