1. Choose a cat-safe food or treat that suits your cat's usual diet.
2. Spread a small amount across the criss-cross pattern, pressing it gently into the textured surface.
3. Place the mat on a flat, stable surface where your cat can reach it comfortably.
4. Let your cat explore the mat at their own pace, particularly during their first few sessions.
5. For a different treat-time experience, spread suitable food onto the mat and freeze it before serving.
6. Remove leftover food and wash the mat thoroughly after each use.

Always supervise your cat while using the Buddy. It is designed for licking rather than chewing, so remove it if your cat begins biting the material or if the mat shows signs of damage.

Care

Hand wash with warm water and suitable washing-up liquid after use. Rinse thoroughly to remove food residue and allow the mat to dry completely before storing. The mat is freezer safe for preparing suitable frozen treats. It is microwave friendly when used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Hand washing is recommended for the Classic range, as dishwasher heat may cause the mat to warp. Check regularly for wear, tears or other damage, and replace the mat if it becomes unsafe to use.
