1. Choose a cat-safe food or treat suitable for your cat's usual diet.
2. Spread wet food across the mat or place kibble and small chunky treats into the square pockets.
3. For a first introduction, offer a small amount of food in an easy-to-reach area so your cat can get used to the texture.
4. Place the mat on a stable, flat surface and allow your cat to explore it at their own pace.
5. For a longer-lasting treat, you can freeze suitable food on the mat.
6. Remove leftover food and clean the mat after each use.

Always supervise your cat when using the mat, especially the first few times. It is a feeding accessory, not a chew toy, so remove it if your cat begins biting it or if any damage appears.

Hand wash in warm water with a suitable washing-up liquid after use. Rinse thoroughly to remove food residue and allow the mat to dry fully before storing. The mat is freezer safe for preparing suitable frozen treats. It is microwave friendly when used in accordance with the manufacturer's guidance. Avoid assuming it is dishwasher safe: hand washing is the recommended care method for the Classic range. Check the mat regularly for signs of damage and replace it if it becomes torn or deteriorates.

Always use food that is safe for cats and allow any warmed food to cool to a suitable temperature before serving.
