1. Choose a soft food or treat that is safe for your cat and suitable for their usual diet.
2. Start with a small amount, spreading it over the centre of the mat and working it gently around the textured surface.
3. Place the mat on a stable, flat surface where your cat can comfortably reach it.
4. Let your cat investigate the mat at their own pace. Gradually increase the amount of food as they become familiar with it.
5. For a longer-lasting treat, spread suitable food over the mat and place it in the freezer.
6. Remove any leftover food and wash the mat after each use.

Always supervise your cat, particularly when introducing the mat for the first time. The Soother is designed for licking, not chewing. Remove it if your cat starts biting it or if you notice any damage.

Care

Hand wash after every use with warm water and a suitable washing-up liquid. Rinse thoroughly to remove food residue and allow the mat to dry fully before storing. The mat is freezer safe, making it suitable for preparing appropriate frozen treats. It is microwave friendly when used in line with the manufacturer's guidance. Check the food temperature carefully before serving. Hand washing is recommended for the Classic range; dishwasher heat may cause the mat to warp. Inspect the mat regularly and replace it if it becomes torn or damaged.

Choose cat-safe ingredients and check any human foods carefully before serving them to your pet. Avoid foods containing ingredients that are harmful to cats.
