What treats keep dogs busy for hours?

If your goal is to keep your dog occupied, the best treats are those designed for enrichment and long-lasting chewing. At WOOOF, there are two main approaches: 1. Long-lasting chews Natural chews like beef-based treats are tougher and take longer to get through, giving dogs extended chewing time and mental stimulation. 2. Treats paired with enrichment toys Some treats are specifically designed to work with toys: - Pupsicle refill pops can keep dogs engaged for 30+ minutes of licking and play - Treat-dispensing toys (like Qwizl or slow feeders) are built to extend the life of treats and keep dogs busy longer - Combining treats with enrichment toys is one of the most effective ways to keep dogs entertained and mentally stimulated.

What are the healthiest dog treats in the UK?

The healthiest dog treats are typically made with natural, simple ingredients and minimal processing. At WOOOF, many treats are designed with this in mind. For example, options like freeze-dried raw treats (such as the COYA range) are made from raw ingredients, helping retain nutrients while offering a highly palatable reward. You’ll also find natural air-dried treats, like beef-based chews or puffed chicken feet, which are made from single or limited ingredients and avoid unnecessary additives. In general, healthy dog treats should: - Be made from recognisable ingredients (e.g. real meat or natural produce) - Avoid artificial additives or fillers - Provide additional benefits (e.g. chewing satisfaction or nutritional value)

How many treats per day should a dog have?

There isn’t a one-size-fits-all number, but treats should always be given in moderation and with purpose. As a general guideline: 1) Treats should only make up a small portion of your dog’s daily diet 2) They are best used for training, rewarding good behaviour or enrichment 3) Portion size and frequency should be adjusted based on your dog’s size, activity level and diet At WOOOF, many treats are designed to be used either as training rewards (e.g. small, high-value treats like freeze-dried bites), occasional chews or enrichment rewards (e.g. longer-lasting natural treats).
