Running all the way around the mat is a grooved channel that acts as a natural ant barrier, simply fill it with water and it helps stop insects from reaching your dog's food. Just remember to change that water regularly to avoid it becoming a spot for mosquitoes. Raised edges around the mat also catch any spilled food or water before it reaches your floor. 1. Place the Zee.Mat on a flat surface in your dog's usual feeding spot.

2. Sit your dog's food and/or water bowl on top of the textured centre, where the zig-zag pattern helps keep it steady.

3. Fill the outer groove with water to create a natural barrier against ants.

4. Change the water in the groove regularly to keep it fresh and avoid attracting mosquitoes.

5. Wipe up any spills caught by the raised edges as needed.
